Providence, Rhode Island based cosmonauts Queen Elephantine inked a deal with Atypeek Music, and other labels for a worldwide release of their fith opus Kala out this fall.
With a fluid lineup and various experiments in approach, Queen Elephantine is a nebulous worship of heavy mood and time.
Formed in Hong Kong in 2006 and relocated to the United States a few years later, Queen Elephantine has produced some of the finest doom albums and splits (with Sons of Otis, Elder, and Alunah) in recent years, driven by sheer originality and mystical force embodied in resplendent shrines of sound. Queen Elephantine is meditative blues of whirlwind ghost ships forced down hopeless maelstroms of the Nile. Modal psychedelic doom, formed in Hong Kong in 2006, currently based in USA. They have released four albums and several EPs including splits with Sons of Otis and Elder.
